Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file should be prepared in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or PDF document file format. The use of the LaTeX template provided on the journal website is highly recommended. Authors may also use the Microsoft Word (DOCX) template provided by the journal.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The manuscript has been prepared in accordance with the requirements specified in the Author Guidelines.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • As part of the publishing process, authors are required to pay a fee if their manuscript is accepted for publication.

    This journal charges an article publication fee to cover the costs of openly disseminating research results, managing the various expenses associated with handling and editing submitted manuscripts, as well as the general management and publication of the journal. Authors or their institutions are required to pay this fee for each article accepted for publication.
  • Authors are required to upload the similarity check report as a supplementary file. The overall similarity index must be below 25%, excluding similarities originating from properly cited quotations and the reference list.

Author Guidelines

Manuscript Submission

Research in the Mathematical and Natural Sciences (RMNS) is a national journal intended as a communication forum for mathematicians and other scientists from many practitioners who use mathematics in their research. RMNS received a manuscript in areas of study mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, applied statistics, and mathematics of education. Manuscripts should be submitted online https://journal.scimadly.com/index.php/rmns/submission/wizard. It is understood that the submitted paper is not being considered for publication in other journals. All articles for this journal must be submitted using our online submissions system.

Reviewing of Manuscripts

Each received paper will be sent to at least two reviewers for evaluation. We use the double-blind peer-review process. The decision is made based on the evaluation reports from the reviewers. Whenever necessary, we ask a third reviewer to evaluate the paper.

Form of Manuscript

The paper should be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia. Manuscripts written in English are strongly preferred. Authors may also submit manuscripts in Bahasa Indonesia; however, accepted manuscripts written in Bahasa Indonesia must be translated into English before publication.

Authors may arrange the translation independently or request the editorial team to facilitate the translation process. If the translation is handled by the editorial team, an additional translation fee will be charged to the authors. The applicable translation fee and procedures will be communicated by the editorial office.

Authors are strongly encouraged to prepare their manuscripts using the LaTeX template provided on the journal website to ensure consistency with the journal's formatting requirements. Alternatively, authors may use the Microsoft Word (DOCX) template provided on the journal website. Manuscripts should follow the formatting, structure, and style specified in the selected template.

Abstract

The abstract must be presented in English and Indonesian. It should summarize the main result(s) and, possibly, the method(s) used, in at most 200 words. If the paper is a survey paper, it must be indicated so in the abstract. For authors from outside Indonesia, the Indonesian abstract will be translated from the English abstract by the Editor.

Figures

If any, figures should be supplied in a form suitable for photographic reproduction after the printer has inserted any necessary lettering in the correct type. They should be printed or drawn in black ink on good white paper, at approximately the size that they will be printed.

References

The reference at the end of the text must be written by the following example. Quote only the items that you have read. It is recommended to use Manager Reference Applications such as EndNote, Mendeley, Zotero, etc. Use other articles published in the same journal as the model. All publications cited in the text must be included as a list of Bibliographies with the IEEE Style. Examples of citations and reference writing for journal articles can be seen in [1-3], reference types of proceedings seen in [4, 5], reference type/ thesis/ dissertation seen in [6-8] Furthermore, reference to the type of book is seen in [9] and references in the form of websites are seen in [10]. Meanwhile [11] shows examples of citations and reference writing in the form of articles in the book (Book Section).

Under the Creative Commons license, Research in the Mathematical and Natural Sciences permits users to copy, distribute, display, and perform the work. 4. Rights of Authors

Authors retain all their rights to the published works, such as (but not limited to) the following rights;

  • Copyright and other proprietary rights relating to the article, such as patent rights,
  • The right to use the substance of the article in own future works, including lectures and books,
  • The right to reproduce the article for its own purposes,
  • The right to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the article's published version (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal (Research in the Mathematical and Natural Sciences).

5. Co-Authorship

If the article was jointly prepared by more than one author, any authors submitting the manuscript warrants that he/she has been authorized by all co-authors to be agreed on this copyright and license notice (agreement) on their behalf, and agrees to inform his/her co-authors of the terms of this policy. Research in the Mathematical and Natural Sciences will not be held liable for anything that may arise due to the author(s) internal dispute. Research in the Mathematical and Natural Sciences will only communicate with the corresponding author.

6. Royalties

Being an open accessed journal and disseminating articles for free under the Creative Commons license term mentioned, author(s) aware that Research in the Mathematical and Natural Sciences entitles the author(s) to no royalties or other fees.

The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party. However, due to the advancement and availability of hacking and data mining techniques found over the Internet, JJoM will not be able to guarantee that other parties will not mine our users' email addresses in any possible ways found over the Internet.
